Learning from Mistakes


In UDL-based classrooms, making mistakes is encouraged and supported.  Making mistakes and learning from those mistakes allows learning to be meaningful for students. Not only should mistakes made during the learning process be supported, but allowing students second chances completing assessment activities lowers students’ anxiety and encourages them take risks with their learning.

In this video, teachers discuss why they believe encouraging their students to make mistakes is important to their learning process.
