It’s easier to learn when you’re in a safe environment and you trust everyone around you.
It makes me feel safe and wanted. Like I belong here.
It’s a very comfortable area where you’re just able to express how you feel and what your thoughts are.
I think that we get to express the way that we feel, helps a lot more instead of keeping anger in, Mr Cummings lets us express it to him and he’s someone that we can trust.
Our teacher lets us be more social. And gives us more independence, so that I like a lot.
Including us I think helps us engage more.
Because you’re more involved in the learning.
Because every year in elementary school you basically learn the same thing. But just a little harder every year. But this year it’s like they change it up.
Last year when I was in grade five it was a lot harder because everybody did the same thing.
Yeah it is a lot different but in a good way.
I used to hate school and now I’m, I’m okay with school it’s just like I have lots of fun and home too, and I have to wake up really early.
Usually I don’t like English and Socials but he really makes it interesting and fun.
I know that some of the other science teachers they have lots of trouble keeping kids in on it, but I think Mr Haverstock does an amazing job with that, he makes it really fun for us.
I find having it fun, it keeps it in your head longer.
With this you actually play games and work together and it sticks with you.
It makes it easier to retain it because we make so much fun of it.
I just feel like I retain everything so much better.
It sticks in your brain better than just like some text book work, you can like, connect it to something you’ve actually done.
And it’s like oh I remember this because we did this activity with it.
It’s kind of like, if you’re in an exam it kind of pops, oh yeah, I remember doing a food labs for math.
Don’t worry too much on like writing down everything and making sure they have all the information, just make your clases fun.
